The growing threat posed to confidential business data by trusted insiders has been highlighted by two major incidents in the U.S. in recent weeks. In the first, Fidelity National Information Services, a leading provider of core financial institution processing, card issuer and transaction processing services, announced that a former employee of its subsidiary, Certegy Check Services, had misappropriated and sold consumer information to a data broker who, in turn, sold a subset of that data to a limited number of direct marketing organizations.

WSLabi, an independent Swiss laboratory, has launched a new international exchange which will sell security research. The intention is to create a portal that can be used by researchers who discover vulnerabilities to sell them to the marketplace.
Essentially, researchers can submit their findings to the exchange once they have registered. WSLabi will verify the research by analyzing and replicating it at their independent testing laboratories.

The ICT Security Standards Roadmap has been developed by the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the UN’s telecommunications agency, in collaboration with the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) and the Network and Information Security Steering Group (NISSG).
