Position: Pre-Sales Engineer

Exaprotect is looking for a Pre-Sales Engineer to perform remote and onsite customer demonstrations, Proof of Concepts and deployment support. This will initially be of our Network Security software solution and will extend to include our Centralized Log and Event Management appliances. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform Product Demonstrations (match product features and customer benefits)
• Work with Customers on Proof of Concepts
• Assist with customer deployments, on occasion
• Perform Training for customers and partners
• Follow up with technical team to eliminate any purchasing objections

Position Requirements

• 2-5 years experience either as a Pre-Sales Engineer, or as a Network Security Engineer/Consultant performing hands on Network Security Firewall, Router, VPN design and implementation.
• Background in configuring at least two of these vendor security devices from Cisco, CheckPoint, Juniper, Fortinet routers, and firewalls is a must.
• Proven ability and understanding of TCP/IP and security technologies, including, Routing/switching, Firewalls, VPN, and NAT.
• Ability to work independently.
• Self Motivated.
• Readiness to travel up to 50%, some international travel.
• Proven ability to listen and communicate effectively to ensure technical solutions and concepts meet client business needs.
• Act as an interface between Sales organization and Technical staff to resolve outstanding issues.
• Excellent written business communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Experience conducting product training.
• Experience handling Pressure and meeting deadlines.

• US Citizen

Preferred skills:

• Four year College Degree
• Cisco, CheckPoint, Juniper, or Fortigate Certification
• Knowledge of Regex or scripting language, i.e Perl, Python or Java.
• Linux/Windows OS
• Some Mysql experience
• Experience with Configuration Management applications such, Provider-1, CSM, NSM, OPSWARE, Alterpoint or Log and Event Correlation; Arcsight, Loglogic, RSA Envision is a plus
